Championship Series UpdateThree California teams one win away from taking league titles.Saturday, September 13, 2008 California League The Stockton Ports are becoming the masters of the late come from behind victory. After coming back late to win one game from Modesto and two from San Jose, the Ports scored four runs in the bottom of the eigth inning to take Game 2 from the Lancaster JetHawks 5-3. The Ports received a little help from the JetHawks, who had two errors in the inning. Stockton now leads the series 2 games to none, and need to win only one of the next three in Lancaster to take the California League title. Pacific Coast League The Sacremento River Cats took Game 3 of the Pacific Coast League championship series over the Oklahoma RedHawks. The 2007 Champs can repeat with a victory tonight in Oklahome City. The River Cats are 9-0 all time in championship clinching games. Golden Baseball League The Orange County Flyers outdid Wednesday night's offensive surge (13 runs) with 14 runs on Friday to win 14-9 against the Calgary Vipers. Up two games to one, the Flyers can clinch with a win tonight. Because of a concert at Goodwin Field, the game was played in Walnut. The teams head back to Fullerton tonight for Game 4.
