Teams combine for 9 runs in the ninth, after scoring just two prior.

The Pacific Coast League scored six runs in the top of the ninth inning, then held on to win the Triple A All-Star game against the International League on Wednesday night.  After to going scoreless for six and a half innings, the international league seemed well on their way to victory when they scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, then called one of their highly regarded closer, Blaine Neal of Toledo as the PCL came to bat in the top of the ninth.  Six runs later, the PCL seemed to have the game when in control, only to give up three runs to the IL in the bottom of the ninth, until finally putting the game away.

Sacramento’s Ryan Wing pitched the fifth inning striking out two and giving up one hit with no runs.  Fresno’s Geno Espinelli pitched parts of the seventh and eight, coming on relief and getting the PCL out of a jam after giving up two runs.  He then started the eight inning.  In all, Espinelli gave up no runs on one hit with three strikeouts.
