Troy Tulowitzki Continues Rehab with Nuts

No time table set for return to majors.

Friday, June 13, 2008

Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, a member of last year's NL Champions, is continuing to his recovering from a torn tendon in his left quadriceps with what appears to be an extended stay with the Modesto Nuts.  Injured April 29 in a game agains the San Francisco Giants, Tulowitzki wasn't expected to return until the All-Star break, but is ahead of schedule on his return.  Because of the nature of injury, the Rockies have put no time table on his return.  That could mean a few more days contributing to the Modesto effort.  He batted .291 in 155 games for the Rockies during their 2007 campaign, which saw them losing to the Boston Red Sox in the World Series.  Tulowitzki has yet to get a hit in five at bats since joining the Nuts roster on Tuesday. Tulowitzki is expected to be moved to Colorado Springs (Triple A) before returning to the Rockies.
