Omar Vizquel to Rehap with San Jose Giants

Eleven time Gold Glove winner to play in Tuesday's game against the Storm.

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

Can’t make the Ports game to see Rich Harden start, consider the San Jose Giants game to see 11 time Gold Glove winner Omar Vizquel play for the San Jose Giants.  Vizquel, who started for the Fresno Grizzlies on Monday, going 1-for-3 with a single in 5 innings of play, will be continuing his rehab with the Giants today in their game against the Lake Elsinore Storm.  The game starts at 7:00 p.m.

Vizquel has a .274 lifetime batting average in 19 seasons of major leagues for the Seattle, Cleveland, and San Francisco.  In 2007, at age 40, he played 145 games for the San Francisco Giants batting .246 with 51 RBIs.
