Visalia Rawhide's game to be dedicated to Haitian relief


San Jose Giants also donate $1,000 to the cause.

The Visalia Rawhide announced on Friday that their April 21 game will be name “Haiti Relief Drive” evening.  All monies raised through designated ticket sales for the game from now through April 21 will be donated to UNICEF’s relief fund, including single game, group, and walk up window tickets.  UNICEF is has been designated by Minor League Baseball as their preferred fund for concerned teams and fans.  The Rawhide will also be collecting material goods prior to the game.

The San Jose Giants donated $1,000 to the fund on Friday.  According to MiLB.com, 13 players born in Haiti play in the affiliated minor leagues.
