Templeton to Manage Armada


Former Flyers Skipper Returns to the GBL

Gary Templeton, a 16 year Major League veteran, has been hired to manage the Long Beach Armada for the 2009 season.  This is Templeton's second stint in the GBL, having managed the Flyers during the first three years of their existence (2004-2007).  He has also managed in the Angels organization including two years at the Triple A level.

Templeton replaces Steve Yaeger, who managed the Armada for one season, winning 11 of the team's final 15 games of the regular season before falling to Orange County in Game 5 of the best of five series for the South Division title.
